                          What is ABATE?

                          A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments

ABATE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the Freedom of the Road. Ensure your freedom by fighting anti-bike legislation and promoting fair motorcycle legislation. ABATE does not advocate that you ride without a helmet when the law is repealed, only that you have the right to decide.

The structure of ABATE is very basic: Members. Membership is open to anyone interested in promoting freedom of choice, whether you own or ride a motorcycle, or not. The wishes of the members are carried out by their elected board of directors in their local chapter, or through their representatives to the state organization.

It is time to start thinking about Spring Opener!

If you weren't there last year, I'm sure you heard about it. This year will be bigger and better! Tickets will be available starting at the Spring Swap Meet , March 25th at the Evergreen Fairgrounds in Monroe.
If you are planning on bringing a motor home, make your reservations now. Spaces filled up last year so you know they will this year, only faster.
The Mason County Chapter will be there in force! It was agreed upon last year to get the same site this year. It will be a blast!

                          Come join us!!

On Tuesday, November 1st, our brother, and Mason County Chapter member, Ronnie Nelson lost his hard fought battle with ALS.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you make a donation in Ronnie's honor to the ALS Therapy Development Institute. This is a great way to honor the memory of Ronnie while helping to support vital research and education programs.  You can send your donations to:

                          ALS TDI
                          215 First Street
                          Cambridge, MA 02142

Ronnie, your legacy will live on. You have touched many lives. We will be  proud to put on The Ronnie Run III next spring. You will be missed. Rest in peace brother.
